__Remembrance of God must be continuous,
Like the flowing river or falling rain,
Allowing no distraction that can be caused
By mental discord or bodily pain.

The mind must be lost in total awareness
Of the holy feeling of a Divine Presence,
Oblivious of external worldly stimulii
That compete with it for existential sense.
_
"He only exists, I can sense no other",
Must remain the feeling of the heart,
"He only exists, how can another?"
Be the movement of one's thought.
_
Even the stark 'I"ness of the knower
And of the sensor, must recede,
Leaving only the sole object of feeling
And of knowing to intercede.
_
The flood of feeling of Holy Presence
Must sweep the mind and heart away,
Leaving the naked feeling of "I"ness,
Overwhelmed by Divinity, to stay.
_
"It" becomes "You" for the searching "I",
Its object"You", the "I" now gains.
When "You" recedes with vanishing thought,
Only the mystic integral 'I" remains.
_
Thought has now vanished, so has feeling,
The subject and the object are only One !
Can there exist any, to think or feel ?
Holy "All" remains, now that all is gone !
_
Bliss flowers as the remnant "All",
A peace that passeth understanding,
A contentment, supreme satisfaction,
Temporal affairs not withstanding !

with his father,
the eldest son is well aware of
his likes and dislikes.
In such a case,

after the death of his father, that is,
to further the prestige of the family,
he should inform his younger siblings
of their father's likes and dislikes

which, during its thousands of years of practice
by the priesthood, the royalty, the gentry and the
populace of India, has made India the greatest
operational living heritage site of the
Spiritual World
a dynamic spiritual store-house.

The altruistic approach,
that
Praanaayaama
provides,
has prevented India's ancient civilization
from crumbling into the dust of
history and archaeology.

But today,
no one can predict what the future holds
for India as the
Spiritual Centre
of the world.

It is possible that destiny may hand over the
responsibility of leading the spiritual evolution of
man, to some other region of the world
that is more receptive to God's Grace and to
the Prana Shakthi ( the Holy Mother, Paraashakthi,
the Holy Spirit, the Pneuma, the Kalma, the elan vitae).

in case India fails in its God-given

Dharma

One has to go beyond the mind to experience the spiritual bliss of desirelessness.
If you experience that same longing and thirst for Union with Me as one who has been lying for days in the hot sun of the Sahara experiences for the longing for water, then you will realize Me.
The entire life of the personal ego is continually in the grip of wanting, i. e., an attempt to seek fulfilment of desires through things that change and vanish. But there can be no real fulfilment through the transient things.
The satisfaction derived from the fleeting things of life is not lasting; and the wants of man remain unfulfilled. There is thus a general sense of dissatisfaction accompanied by all kinds of worries.
Open your heart by weeding out all desires and by harbouring only one longing—the longing for union with the Ultimate Reality. The Ultimate Reality is not to be sought in the changing things of external environment, but in one's own being.
The faith of the disciple must always be securely grounded on his experience of the divinity of the Master. He must not be like a straw carried anywhere by the slightest breeze; he should be like a rock which remains unmoved in the severest of storms.
Spirituality must make man more human. It is a positive attitude of releasing all that is good and noble and beautiful in man. It also contributes to all that is gracious and lovely in the environment. It does not require the external renunciation of worldly activities or the avoiding of duties and responsibilities. It only requires that, while performing the worldly activities or discharging the responsibilities arising from the specific place and position of the individual, the inner spirit should remain free from the burden of desires.
Everyone is seeking happiness, but few have it; for, lasting happiness dawns only when there is complete freedom from wants. This highest state of non-wanting may outwardly seem to imply inaction and easy of attainment. But, if anyone tries just to sit quietly without inwardly wanting anything and with full consciousness (i.e., without going to sleep), he will realize that such a state of non-wanting is very difficult to attain and that it can be sustained only through tremendous spiritual activity.
The individual mind is the seat of the ego or the consciousness of being isolated. It creates the limited individuality, which at once feeds and is fed by the illusion of duality time and change. So, in order to know the self as it is, consciousness has to be completely freed from the limitation of the individual mind. In other words, the individual mind has to disappear but consciousness has to be retained.

The Cloud of Unknowing

Anonymously written around the year 1375, The Cloud of Unknowing — a lucid and deceptively simple manual on contemplative spirituality — offers a fascinating glimpse into the practical side of medieval mysticism. It remains important and valuable in our day not only because of its historical value, but because of how surprisingly relevant and up-to-date it remains, even here in the twenty-first century.

The Cloud of Unknowing appears to have been written for a young person who is just beginning a life devoted to contemplation, either as a monk or a solitary. Its author may have been a priest, or may have himself been a monastic, but unfortunately we can do little more than speculate on the matter. So effective is his cloak of anonymity that we know virtually nothing about him (or her). The author of The Cloud also wrote or translated several minor works, including a richly paraphrased translation of a work by the late fifth-century Syrian mystical theologian now known as Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite. Arguably the most important Christian mystic of his age, Pseudo-Dionysius advocated an apophatic (or “imageless”) spirituality anchored in the sheer mystery and unknowability of the Divine. Following Pseudo-Dionysius, this “negative” spirituality that stresses the unknowability and supra-rational darkness and transcendence that prevents us from ever knowing God fully has remained a perennial (if little-known and little-understood) stream in the waters of the Christian experience. Following Pseudo-Dionysius, mystics such as Meister Eckhart and John of the Cross; modern spiritual teachers like Peter Rollins and Maggie Ross, and — of course — The Cloud of Unknowing all fall within the magnificent, if virtually imprenetrable, vein of spirituality.

Lord
himself and his
love

your relationship with him.

When you are in love with someone,
you are not thinking about
what you are going to get from them.

So forget about anything
God
is going to do for
YOU.
Forget about God making you rich, or happy,
or healing your hurts, or healing your relationships.

Put all that stuff behind
a
cloud of forgetting.
_

God
is a lot smarter than you are,
and if you turn your life over to him
and trust him,
he will do a much better job
of running your life
than
